In 2020 Edukateam organised the first solidarity event “Crossing for Solidarity”. The event, during which Driss Rhafes and Soufiane Sahili padeled a distance of 275km in support of inclusive education in Morocco. The event was established in relation with the Moroccan Student Foundation to raise funds for the benefit of deserving baccalaureate holders in precarious situation.
This year, Edukateam is organizing the 2nd edition of the crossing for solidarity, under the theme “Rise up to the Top”, from August 21 to September 5, 2021.
This goal of this year’s event is to contribute to the success of the New Development Model in the Moroccan High Atlas by supporting the development of entrepreneurship. “Rise up to the Top” follows Edukateam’s strategic orientation to respond to the challenges of inclusion and social advancement through the development of entrepreneurial skills. This project is also part of a longstanding cooperation between Morocco and Finland.
“Rise up to the Top” is built around 3 solidarity programs which aim to promote and support the action of 3 associations present in the Moroccan High Atlas. Edukateam training – support will take place from September 2021 to June 2022. The training and support pathways offered will benefit more than 80 direct beneficiaries and several hundred indirect beneficiaries, in partnership with the following associations:

Tizi N’oucheg (Ourika)
Toubkal Mountaineers Association (Imlil)
Our role
Our role is to plan the entrepreneurship programme, train and support local trainers who then will implement the programme to aspiring entrepreneurs in the Moroccan High Atlas. I will also plan and deliver a teacher training programme for La Campus Vivante so that their amazing teachers can start benefiting from the Finnish education model.
